Had a fall on my bike on the way home. Two lane road with a turn lane (right turn only) and just as I’m pulling into that right lane, soccer mom in the SUV decides she needs to make a right turn and cuts me off, no signals, she didn’t even look. (if you’ve read your drivers manual, this is an illegal lane change, look it up)
I swerved and missed and hit the curb, messed up my highway peg and sandwiched my boot between the bike and curb, and laid it down.
Luckily I had all my gear on and the worst damage was my poor boot got scarred up pretty bad, thank goodness for steel-toes. and some dirt on my riding pants, I felt impact on all the most padded places and it didn’t hurt at all, the Kevlar even held up without any abrasion. Remember bikers, ATGATT. Got home no problems.
