My first ride in the twisties!

I’ve had my bike for 2 months now and have put on about 500 miles on it in my commute back and forth to work and that is about all the riding I’ve gotten done on it. It was a beautiful day today so I geared up and headed for the mountains in my backyard for my first pleasure ride. I was a little nervous about going over the mountain pass, because the roads are quite twisty up there, altitude is about 7000 – 8000 feet and I ride a little 250 ninjaette, and only have 2 total months of riding experience. I had a blast, my bike handled great and didn’t have any problems with the steep roads or the altitude. I took one corner a little too hot, scared me a bit, but besides that it was a great learning experience on how the bike handles, was getting used to the counter steering concept on the twisty roads and got a lot of practice on throttle control and braking in all those turns. When I got over the pass, I headed toward Snowbasin ski resort for another hour of great up mountain and down mountain riding with some fanastic views and fun twisty roads. Saw a bunch of people on bikes doing the same thing today on those roads, must have given the motorcycle wave 20-30 times! Was a good learning experience!
