Hello, everyone. I’m Rich and I’m new to the site and the world of cycling. I’ve been bicycling since I was four, have always dreamed of stepping up to the world of motorcycles, and I’m finally in the position to do so. I’m 23, living in Boston, MA, and ready to (responsibly) enjoy motorcycles and motorcycling.

I’ve been doing a bit of research, and I’ve practically memorized the Mass RMV Motorcycle Manual, and am planning on attending a Basic Rider Course in the very near future. I’ve got my eyes on the ’08 Kawasaki Ninja 250. I’m 5′ 9″ and 140 lbs, so I’m pretty sure the Ninja is more than adequate. I have no doubt in my ability to catch onto basic motorcycling principles quickly, but that’s as far as I’m willing to give myself credit for. I’m willing to admit that I will fall off / drop my bike a couple times.

Definitely looking forward to getting to know more about cycles in the coming weeks! P.S. – anyone in the Boston / South Shore area know of a place to get things related to motorcycles? I’ve switched my mind to sponge-mode and am ready to be Murglewurm’d.

Great site, thanks for all the advice!

No idea where “Murglewurm’d” came from, but for reasons unknown to me I like it!! Good luck with your new two-wheeled journey. Incessant reading is a good start.
