Arizona eh, I have a friend in Tuscon who plans on riding a harley from there to Tennessee in a few months. UUmmm well you said you’re not looking to lean over nor are you intending on riding a “huge cruiser” I think I have that correct. Well not all cruisers are “huge”. There are some I guess you could say midsized ones out there and not all the sport bikes are going to have you leaning over the whole time. I definitely understand what you are saying about the dangerous motorcycles. Do you plan on buying a new bike or a used one? and have you gone around and sat on bikes to see what feels comfortable to you? Take in mind that you will always want to be safe as you said so a “spacesuit” might be helpful haha. A jacket with shoulder pads, elbow pads, and back protection is something I refer, gloves are nice, riding pants, boots. and anyone that doesn’t wear a helmet is not that bright.
