Today my hubby & I made the 200 mile round trip to Mount Scott, and did the scenic ride up to the top. Second gear all the way up, and after this, I can safely say I won’t be ready to do any “real” mountains for awhile. I did all right, but it was white-knuckle all the way up. Coming down the mountain was much easier, probably because I knew what to expect. We stopped at a leather shop in the small town of Medicine Park with the coolest name ever! Good ride, good temps & wind…but Saturday our weatherman is predicting more snow! Enough already.

Looks like a cool place for a ride
I’m surprised you found it easier coming down than going up. Going down those tight 180′ hairpin corners that have large drops in height with even larger drop offs just to the side of the road, now those I found challenging!

More snow??? Are you sure that you didn’t accidentally transplant to Alaska sometime this year?

Wait… We aren’t expecting any more snow this weekend…

That looks like a gorgeous trip. I don’t think I’ve made the trip to Mt Scott- but I think that Eon’s version of riding in the mountains may be a little more extreme than your recent experience.
