ParticipantOver on ADVrider I read a really good post by a fellow named Neduro reviewing a Ducati Multistrada. What really caught me was the opening paragraph:
A motorcycle can be as much about communicating an emotion with the rider as it is about accomplishing a task. Different manufacturers specialize in different emotions: Honda and Yamaha do crisp mechanical perfection, KTM do ‘ready to race’, BMW does unintimidating but not boring, and so on. At their best, a motorcycle has both clear emotional content, and a well defined purpose, and both align and are fulfilled. These are the bikes we love, but it’s not always easy to tell from the spec sheet whether a bike is going to be right or not.
