Hey??? got a question for ya

Today I went to browsing for a bike. I looked at a Suzuki SV1000 (93″): it had some modifications. The other bikes were a UM v250 and 650 (08″). I did not get the chance to start up or test, due to weather. Just wondering if you knew anything about either of these bikes. I was told that the newer company UM is a knockoff of the honda bikes and manufactured in Korea (and not so favorable). My preference would be something used and inexpensive of the Suzuki or Kawasaki type. I am going to forget what I learned if I dont get something to ride soon.

haha, im in the same boat man i took my class and now need a bikE. On the plus side if you took the MSF course i’m pretty sure u are part of the ride for life prgram which basically means u can attend any msf course you want for FREE. Good way to keep sharp. Good luck on your hunt and if you run into an 03-05 sv650s in the FL area for around 2k let me know lol….

I’d stay away from Honda knockoffs. You can find Hondas on the used market, and the real deal is a pretty reliable piece of machinery.

Steer clear of the 600cc+ sport bikes. They’re an invitation to trouble for a new rider, even if they are pretty. And I assure you, they’re very pretty. Every time I see the CBRs at the local dealership I hear them calling my name. But they’re staying there until I’m ready and can afford them, and I’m tired of riding my Magna.
