Knee Armor in my Pants

I wear tour master quest over pants for my daily commute. They have the adjustable knee and shin armor pieces. When I’m standing the knee armor is directly over my knee, but when I sit on the bike my pants ride up and knee armor is above the knee with the shin guard at or just above the knee too. Adjusting the position of the armor is a simple matter of velcro pockets. My question is, Is this normal? There are no instructions on where to properly place the knee, and I ask since the pant legs move up or down depending on whether I stand, bend or sit.

I’d say try to reach a compromise with whatever setting you choose as no-one can predict the angle of your knee hitting the pavement in an unscheduled get-off (which will hopefully never happen).

Well done on having the savvy to wear protective gear!

Normal. I have a pair of Revit Turbine overpants. When I stand the knee armors hang a littel low. When I’m ready to sit on the bike, I pulled up the pants a little to line them up better with the knees, and sometimes push the knee armors into position after I sat down on the bike.

I had a pair of FirstGear overpants that tend to ride up during the ride. The Revit overpants I have now (maybe 1/2 size too big/loose for me) have a heavier construction and don’t ride up much during the ride.
