Hello all,
This site is exactly what I am looking for…real beginner here looking for some advice and what to get. Was always interested in motorcycles but was not until recently that I finally decided to get my license. Wife actually went through the MSF course with me so we both have M1’s. So she got the Vespa S and now it is my turn to get something.
I want a a hybrid duty bike…good cruiser/sport that is not too much for a beginner to handle. Is 800cc too much or should I be looking smaller? The BMW 650 or 800 really interest me as I was always into BMW cars.
Anyways, looking forward to tapping into all the info on this site.

around, I want it caught and shot now…July 7, 2008 at 2:48 am #8458battlewagonParticipantThanks. That is kind of what I was thinking. Sort of like the Ducati’s.
My second choice is the Suzuki SV650 which is all over this site. It has good looks, good price and seems like it is more suited to my level. But dang, those BMW’s are nice.

We ended up getting a 2008 Rebel 250. The thinking was both me and my wife will share it for a while then when I am ready, I will get a bigger bike and then the Rebel will be all hers. The Rebel is perfect size for her and is a very nice looking cruiser.
See ya out on the roads!
