Hi, my name is Steve, I’m 36, 5’8″ and my weight is well I won’t put it on here, women hate me for it, safe to say I won’t slow the bike down. I live an hour outside Toronto, Ontario and its great to see other Canadians on the site.

I must say, I think this site is awesome and has been very informative. I’m glad I stumbled upon it, I have learned alot especially about what newbies should be looking for or doing or not be doing. The fact that a lot of different people contribute and add their 2 cents worth, makes you think from different perspectives and about stuff you might never think of until its too late.

I’ve been wanting to get a bike for years, just never really considered it until a few years ago and then got pushed aside when I had to get a new car. I just got my beginners licence and i am signed up for the motorcyle driving course. The only stick shift I have ever used is on tractors and workman’s on the golf coursejust these past 2 years and I loved it, made driving all that much more fun.

I was kinda in the same boat as you… except women just hate me… haha… j/k…

I did for a long time want to get a bike, it was just that money was always an issue, and a car at the time was just more practical (taking pets to the vet, etc…). I’m happy I finally got my bike and I’m having a blast. I have a feeling you’ll probably feel the same way…

Thanks for the warm wishes. I’m excited, I just placed my order for 08/09 Ninja 250. I can’t wait for it to come in and enjoy this new sport / hobbie. Feel the breeze in my hair and the sun beating down, as the lands rolls on by.
