In a little over a month i am buying a 250cc v-twin chopper, i have no idea about riding although i have always wanted to. Is this size preffered to start on? or bigger size?

250 V-twin, though… Oh, maybe the Hyosung?
In any case, a V-twin is going to be fairly tame. A 250 V-twin might even be a little anemic. But anything can get you into enough trouble to get hurt. Respect the right hand, no matter what the bike.
I would think that the “chopper” part, and the potential handling issues that go along with it, would be more of a problem than the 250 V-twin engine.

Agree w/Briderdt…a 250 is an ideal (or maybe too ideal as the case may be, power-wise) beginner displacement. Most of the bikes MSF uses in their training classes are 250s…and that’s plenty of power to get you in trouble if you’re not careful. Even a mere 50cc scooter can get you in a very serious accident very quickly.
