..the day I begin the MSF beginner course, and hopefully a long and safe riding career.
24 years old, no real riding experience (a few turns on a mini bike here and there) and am stoked about the beginning.
Just wanted to say hello to all, and to find some new and experienced riders to answers all the questions I’m sure I’ll have before my first real ride on a bike next spring.
Is anyone here 6’6″ or taller? I am 6’8″ and 220lbs and wondering what role that will play in my choice of bike in the late winter/early spring ’09.

yeh waiting’s a biotch, but I think all the waiting will be worth it once you take it. I have enough experience to give you advice that could get you in trouble, so don’t listen to me. listen to the MSF instructors.
holy shit you’re tall… yeh, your height will have a big part in determining what kind of bike you’ll want to get. I’m average so I have no experience to draw on for your situation. Just sit on as many bikes as possible. Comfort will be an important part of your decision.
