I’m an electrician and I want to start taking my bike to work, I have to carry my tools (about 20 lbs) and a full brim hard hat to work everyday. Would a tank bag be able to hold that much weight? I have a mesh tail seat net for the hard hat.

Also does a tank bag change the way a bike handles? (I just started riding)

I don’t think a tank bag would be enough for you, but a top box like the one Ben (the site owner) has on his ZX-6R would probably be sufficient.
