The ALT-MOST U-Turn broken down!
July 2, 2010 at 2:42 am #27292gitchy42ParticipantThis isn’t something I had to do in the training, but I have on the road; sometimes successfully…sometimes I have to make a couple of tries. Of course….I think if I had some cheesecake (mmmmmm, cheesecake) to fix my eyes on, I would probably make it every time.

Good video. I find it also helps to counterweight on the outside peg…really sharpens things up. Just shift your bodyweight to the outside foot peg as you turn.

There were a lot of time that we were turning around, but I’m not sure if we ever really did it in that small of a space. But like I said, I can do it, just not every time. I need to find a good parking lot to practice in….

July 15, 2010 at 11:20 pm #27525gitchy42ParticipantI took the Team Oregon training. Honestly, I’m starting to have trouble remembering what we did do now, but I know we did not do the box, or any variation. We did do a lot of turns, did swerves, sharp 90, weave and offset weave, braking in a turn, umm….and a few other exercises. I’m planning on going back for the IRT (the intermediate course) either this fall, or next spring.
