it’s a tame 650cc bike. dual sport counterpart to kawa’s 650r competing with the v-strom 650 which is the dual sport counterpart to the sv650.

600 cc being too much for a first bike really only refers to an inline-4 due to the hyper sensitive throttle response.

84 miles driven in one day on my Versys. The bike has more than enough power and I’ve never even passed the 6000 rpm mark yet.

Sweet bike! If I was taller (only 5’8″), I’d have started on the Versys, and I’m still seriously considering it as my next bike.
