Where is the water/moisture coming from? I have noticed this a number of times when riding on the interstate, especially when the temps are in the upper 80’s and 90’s. There has been no rain, and I am not near any bodies of water, but I feel these small drops of water hitting my face when I have my full face helmet shield up.

Am I hallucinating? I see no wipers running anywhere near me, so I am quite sure no one is spraying their windshields. Is the humidity in the air actually turning into water when the bike is going 70 mph? Any ideas? Am I nuts?

I was thinking it could be the AC’s water dripping. I have also encountered drips from some unknown place while riding. Could be anything, just don’t think about it too much. If you see a porto potty truck stay far, far away.

..probably water released from the A/C. When fall arrives, see if you’re still getting hit…

Definitely cager A/C’s , I actually learn to use them as a means of cooling down a touch when riding in the summer. Find the first soccer mom mini van and just follow it for a short. Your about guaranteed to get a sprinkling and it will be enough to cool your face down. Then bug out.

Maybe you are going close to mach 1 and the water vapor/shock wave is forming around the front of your helmet?
