I’m going to have to use this if someone gives me grief about dinging up my new bike:

“yours just looks like you use it! No problem. A couple of scratches only gives the bike character anyways.”

    Fantastic!

Thanks for the tips on the belt and crash bars. I’ll be sure to check the belt for this as part of the pre-ride inspection.

Honestly, I don’t think I would have ridden it home if the dealer was in Anchorage. Definitely not if I still lived in Tulsa. But around here, the only four lane road is one that I had to cross. None of the roads are really any busier than what I would be practicing on near my house anyway. :)

I love that color combo! The dealer here called it “red & white” but that didn’t seem like a red to me! I looked pretty hard at the S40, but ended up with the V-Star 650 instead. The S40 felt really comfy and had a nice fit to it, and I thought they looked almost like a baby Sportster. Best wishes with the new scooter, and hoping you get to rack up some nice miles very soon! (and I agree, sure would not want to get on the Tulsa interstates for awhile!)

Definitely not red since there is a purplish cast to it. I’m calling it magenta. :) I sat on the V-Star 650, and it just felt like too big a bike for me. This one, I can pretty much throw around.
