Does anyone know of a good website for finding motorcycle specs?
Specifically, I am looking for Torque and HP for Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha. Its funny that I can find this information on the websites for some of the smaller manufacturers, but not for these big boys.
I already tried the manufacturer websites and motorcycle.com. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

I did, however, run into the problem you describe a lot. Motorcycle magazines, wikipedia, and really arcane Google searches are your friends.
And what the hell, here’s the half-completed spec sheet that I haven’t touched in an embarrassingly long time:

So instead, I got crap from my sweetheart for being a complete nerd and putting together my own spreadsheet. Why it came to him as a surprise that I am a complete nerd, I don’t understand. Maybe he was just marveling about it all over again…
I have to say that you have gotten alot further, with alot more information that I have. I didn’t think to keep track of transmission or fuel economy.
Lookin’ good. I’ll just swipe what you have and see what I can find for the Hondas of the world…
July 30, 2009 at 3:11 am #21062AtlAggieParticipanteternal, most places list the Rebel at a whopping 18 HP. And the Vulcan EN500 is generally shown as 46-50 HP. That’s why it was such a transition for me. The bike was only a few pounds heavier, but almost 3x the HP!
July 31, 2009 at 12:24 am #21095eternal05ParticipantI’ve added them in. Finding some of these is a real pain…

We’ll see if I can’t finish up soon.
August 1, 2009 at 3:45 pm #21129owlieParticipantIf you want what I have culled from the manufacturer websites (I have a few more bikes and have combed through the Honda site) drop me a message with your email. I’d be happy to send you my spreadsheet.
