    Hi!
As you can see I’m new. I’m currently gaining knowledge so I can quickly start riding as soon as possible. I am 17 and in Oct. i turn 18. Sept. 8th I start my bike class. Soon after I would like to buy a cheap 250 sportbike (Ninja or Hyosung). Di spite my nickname, I am very skinny (joke with friends). I am 140lbs and 6’1″. I ship off to boot camp for Air Force on June 27th 2011 so I will only have this bike until then. By that time i hope to feel more comfortable on a bike and would possibly upgrade after boot camp wherever I am stationed. I currently live in the rainy state of Washington so my first few months will probably be pretty wet. This sight offers great information and I am very happy i found it!
    thanks,
    Josh

The 250cc bikes are a great starting point, especially if you will be riding in the rain…the lower power output will be a huge help in the wet…no wheels slipping out from under you from too much throttle…and as long as the bike has decent tires, bikes have surprising amounts of grip in the wet…the course is excellent, I really enjoyed mine…make sure you sit on all of the different bikes that they will provide, you may be surprised what bike will actually suit you.

Good Luck and glad you enjoy the site, I do too.

    Later.
