Hi, I’m a new member from Austin, and I’m here because I’m about to purchase my first bike. I took Rider’s Edge 4 years ago and haven’t been on a bike since, so I’m taking the MSF basic riding course in 2 weeks. After that, I plan to purchase a bike for daily commuting.
Torn between the Buell Blast and some sort of 250, but I need something for a bigger guy (235lbs, 6’3″) that can go up a big hill.

Hey Malcontent! I think another member here named Kickprivate is from texas as well. He got a Ninja 500 recently and absolutely loves it. I’ve heard the buell blast is a pretty fun bike, but some people had some reliability issues with the earlier models. Hopefully they have worked out most of the kinks by now.
