I am considering buying a bike after almost 40 years of not riding. The last bike I had was a Honda 305 Scrambler and I am now looking at the Honda Rebel 250 or the Yamaha V250. Have others considered a comparison of these two bikes? What was the conclusion?

I’ve looked at the V-Star, the Rebel, the Nighthawk and a couple of others like the Buell Blast. I have to say I really like the V-Star 250, but I’m considering the Buell too. It’ll all come down to price and availability in the end.

Here’s a comparison of a few 250cc cruisers including the Rebel and the Virago (the old name for the VStar.) Sounds like they think the Virago is a little better bike.

I bought a star about 3 weeks ago and I have to say I really really like this bike the bottom end is pretty torquey for a 250.
