So, I went to one of the local motorsport superstores in the area to get an idea of what gear is available and an idea for the cost. Holy crap! Their showroom would rival most auto dealerships in the area, and their gear area was about the size of most of local shops (the whole local shop). Needless to say, I was a bit overwhelmed. Unfortunately I didn’t have much time to spend wandering and I didn’t buy anything. I’ve been told that the people that work there are pretty helpful, so next time I go in I’ll ask one of them to help me find what I’m looking for, if I can figure out what I am looking for…lol

Found it interesting that while I was poking around at the store I heard one of the clerks say ‘Thanks Bob’, looked over and there was Bob Jr, dunno why it surprised me really…he does own the place now.

I do a lot of shopping there, actually, and their gear and accessories staff have been extremely helpful with my first forays into the world of maintenance supplies, saddle bags, and leather chaps.
Their bike sales and maintenance staff can be hit-n-miss, however. I have walked out of the place more than once (delaying my bike upgrade yet again) because their sales people weren’t bothering to listen to what I was asking or saying. The maintenance staff generally has a fast turn-around time and don’t even bat an eyelash at odd walk-ins, but the price of the work seems to be a bit inconsistent (often much more, or sometimes less, than originally estimated).
It isn’t a very nice name for them, but every now-n-then something comes up and I find myself muttering it under my breath.

The sales girl was nice, listened to what I was saying and made an ok suggestion, but she wasn’t that knowledgeable, although she owned up to that. I knew more about the models I was sitting on than she did (or at least more than she said she did), but she said that she mostly rides dirt….so I’ll give her a pass this time.
Some of the guys at work have said that they are usually decent to good as far as selection and customer service, but high priced.
Thanks for the comment,
