ParticipantMy name is Sean and I’m 27 years old and have been wanting to buy a motorcycle for about 10 years now. I’ve been going through a very hard time in my life recently and buying my new (to me) 2000 Suzuki SV650 recently is my first real step toward making progress in putting my life back together, healthier than before. On Friday, July 11, 2008 I dipped into what little savings I had and bought it and learned to ride over the weekend. Currently signing up for the MSF/MSP course. I commute to work on my SV and it makes the days that I used to dread seem fun and has overall made me a happier person.
I believe that everyone needs something to feel complete and truly be happy and it is something you must acquire in life. It isn’t something you’re born with. For some it’s the companionship of another human being, for some it’s a material possession, for some it’s kids, and for some it could be a pet. I think this motorcycle is mine.
-SeanEDIT: My safety gear thus far consists of an HJC CL-15 Helmet, Tourmaster Solution Waterproof Boots, Joe Rocket Atomic 3.0 jacket, and gloves . . well, i don’t remember what brand of glove they were, but they were the only pair the dealership stocked that fit my hands.
I don’t go out without all this stuff on. Yes, I know, I need pants
I’ll worry about that when my pants size stops changing overnight
