Sounds like what they taught me, too. They just kept telling us to have a “Wrist Low” position. It makes sense that if for some reason you weren’t thinking or if you lost control of your hand, if it’s in a low position, it can’t turn the throttle much further, if it’s already turned about as far as it can be.
July 20, 2009 at 1:40 am #20778yugen852ParticipantExactly. Where I live, a lot of people use scooters, and I don’t think much of them take bike courses or any kind of training. When they stop beside my car on a traffic light, I often see the wrist high on the throttle. And it is logical to do it, since to give gas, you have to bend downward your wrist. But since they don’t know any better, well, some accidents happen.
