Hi everyone. I am a pretty new rider and used this website to help me make some decisions last summer. Mostly, the ones you must hear everyday. You know, which bike, how big, etc. Anyhow, I am a ‘newbie’ – 46 year-old rider. Just never had the chance or money before to ride. Me, the wife, and our two boys live up here in Rutland Vermont. I have so many questions that I can’t seem to get answered from people around here. I hope to get some help from all of you and maybe someday, be able to help other new riders out.

Kidding aside, congrats on joining the ranks of riders. What kind of bike did you get?
I’m a mid-40s rider as well and I think its a great pursuit for those of us who have the life experience, wisdom and perspective that allows us to avoid making a mess of ourselves out on the road. Plus, my wife thinks I look good in the leather jacket (she’s both kind and generous).

So yeah.. as SantaCruzRider suggests.. tell us about your bike.
