hey, im 19 years old and right now looking to get my first bike. Im a bit of a classic muscle car enthusiast and currently drive a 72 Nova SS, but gas prices are killing me(It gets a solid 6 miles per gallon). I found this site today and really enjoyed the articles about where to start.

Im now actively looking for a good bike and was wondering what people think of the Honda Rebel and the Yamaha V-Star 250, which do you prefer? Thanks

from what I know you cant go wrong with your well thought out choices- I do hear alot on reliability for honda, hell they build cars adn motorcycles around their engines

I think you’d be super happy on either! And 60 miles to the gallon is better than 6.

I’ve ridden on a rebel at the MSF. I thought it was a piece of shit. I’m willing to give the rebel the benefit of the doubt though as the bikes at the MSF have seen their share of war wounds from moto-noobs…
