ParticipantI really hate it, but I refuse to ride without a brain bucket. Anyone else have that problem? What do you do to prevent it? I’ve got pretty thin hair not thick at all anymore. Maybe I’ll just shave my head for riding season.

ParticipantThe first time I rode my bike to work some of my co-workers who didn’t know that I got a motorcycle commented on how cute my hair was with the little flip at the ends. I had straight ironed my hair totally straight so the helmet made the ends flip and people liked it! So, helmet hair works for me. I really lucked out.
I vote for shaving your head.

Participantin a few years you’ll be going bald and this will no longer be a problem for you.

ParticipantI wear a bandana under my helmet. Seems to help cut down on the post helmet frizz, but with thick-ish curly hair…the stuff in the helmet is pretty straight by the time I get to work, and the pony tail is in full fluff mode. I have learned to embrace bad hair days…

ParticipantI just have a brush and gel at my work to do whatever touch-up is needed. But really, as it gets longer it’s actually easier (pony tail).

ParticipantI vote shave you head.
My hair is pretty short (less than an inch) and I still think about cutting it shorter to make it easier.

Participantmines down well below my collar…. but luckily being a mechanic I go from helmet to hat in a matter of a few yards.

ParticipantWell, I’m…err was, used to having nice hair. But, I’m almost 30 now and it’s packing it’s bags and getting the hell outta dodge so to speak. I went to the barber and got it chopped. Only 2 inches at the longest now. I haven’t had it this short since the navy. o_o

ParticipantI won’t have to worry about helmet hair in a few years…. Going bald happens early in my family -_-;; my unlce went bald at 23, granfather at 26, and father at 27. I’m 23 and my hair is allready making a tactical retreat towards my neck.

ParticipantHair? What hair?
Like RoboRabbit… I started getting thin after HS/College… Probably more so with work.
What I have left is mainly on the sides (think Picard).
Why worry about the hair, unless you’re going to work that day….

ParticipantI haven’t had a problem with helmet hair…
Hair is only a problem for people who have it.
Lose the hair… lose the problem!
