Hey, I’m currently a student at Indiana University in Bloomington. I have always really been into bikes but haven’t had the chance to get into it seriously till recently. I’m looking to buy my first bike this summer and I was considering the 08′ Ninja 250R but i had a question if anyone can help me out. So I’ve read all the articles on this site (as well as other respectable sites) about the bike and love all the features but I’m more concerned about if the bike can handle me. I’ve read that its a lighter bike and ideal for smaller riders but what about people like myself who are 6’1 230lbs? Would anyone still recommend the Ninja 250R or possibly suggest another beginner bike for someone like me? Thanks for any help and I look forward to getting to know you all.

The 250 will definitely be able to handle you. The rider that wrote our review of the 2008 ninja 250 was 6 feet tall and I would imagine near 200 lbs. I have no doubt that the ninja could zip you around no problem.

Thats good to hear, i might actually get a chance to test drive one since my younger sisters boyfriend ironically just bought the same bike today. Thanks again… love the videos on youtube by the way Ben
