Hi everyone, just thought I’d introduce myself. My name is David, I’m a high school student who has had my eyes set on motorcycles since before the teen years. I remember when my dad first came home with his new cruiser, a suzuki intruder 1500. (damn that was a big bike). Anyways that was when I first started enjoying the vroom vroom sound to motorcycle engines. When my brother was 17 he got a kawasaki ninja 500r (first bike) which he enjoyed. Then soon after my dad traded his Intruder for a hayabusa. I’ve driven the ninja and the intruder (with my dad on the back) but currently I don’t have a motorcycle of my own. When it comes down to the handling of the two motorcycles I enjoyed the ninja a lot more, easier acceleration, faster turning, etc. Sometimes my dad tells me that he misses his intruder and the cruiser feel so I guess its all preference. Anyways thanks for listening, see you guys around.

    Welcome,
I can see the relaxing comfortable ride of a cruiser being attractive to some, my FIL setteled on a Roadking after several other bikes. I think a lightweight easy handling bike would be more fun.

The Ninja 500r is an excellent first bike. Maybe you should nudge your brother that he needs to upgrade so that you can get his bike :)

So I take it that’s not you in your avatar, pulling that beautiful high speed wheelie at the track ?:(
…glad to have you on ;)
