The other day, I was trying to see if the small hardware store in town had the blank for copying my Ninja key. Just my luck, I got a biker to help me. “What’s this for, a rice rocket?” followed by a lecture on why I needed to get a Harley. After a few minutes of this, he ended up concluding, “well, you’re riding, I guess that’s what the matters.” I couldn’t agree more, so I used that for exit out of there before he changed his mind.

What’s the deal with Harley guys showing no love for the metric bikes?

ROFL…would have loved to see the conclusion after that statement. All in all I rarely if ever get flack for being on a metric. Someone might hint at something then I mention I really want a HD Street Bob but at $8k for my 9 compared to $12-14k for the Bob…. I came out better in the end…not including the insurance. Usually gets them thinking long enough to avoid the moment.
Oh yea…. minus Elwoods Sportster… the 9 out run’s most of em off the line.
There’s still a lot of old schoolers that get wrapped up in the image of things. Don’t let it bother you… 1%’ers are fading daily and you are likely to find more agreeable RIDERS out there.

Dude, he was busting your chops. No bike or bike maker is supreme in all areas. It’s like pizza, it’s all debatable, whether it’s Chicago vs New York style or your favorite spot. The debate is half the fun. Sure some idiots don’t get the benefits of the opposing view, but that’s why they get to be idiots.
