On the EFnet IRC channel, join the channel #motorcycles. It’s been run by the same group of guys for over 10 years now and they know their stuff. Though the topic of discussion in channel rarely revolves around motorcycles, they’re happy to answer any questions new riders may have. One of them in particular, a guy who goes by the irc handle gix (see if you can guess what he rides!), is a track riding instructor. As long as you don’t appear to be a potential squid, he will go out of his way to help you. Dezmo, another op, is a cool guy who currently owns 8 bikes and has been a channel admin for about 10 years. He’s a motorcycle mechanic who owns a Ducati 888 among other bikes. Just be careful you aren’t easily offended when going in. They DO have senses of humor, after all…
