Looking at the S40, S50 and Vulcan 500 of course. Just a couple questions. Does the Vucan 500 only come in red for the new models?

Also I was looking at the Suzuki M50. It’s not much more than the S50 and I like the looks of it more than the S50. Anyone have any experiences with it?

    Thanks for your help.

The 08 Vulcan 500 only comes in black. Apparently on Kawasaki’s website, it looks like the 09 models are only going to be available in red, although I haven’t seen any 09 models around here yet. I bought an 08 Vulcan 500 and can say that love everything about it. Good power, good handling, bulletproof engine, smooth shifting, and a pretty comfortable seat for a stock seat. I travel the freeway just about everyday with it and have no problems keeping up.
I don’t have any experience with the S40 or S50, but there’s a good writeup by Bernie here on the site at https://www.bestbeginnermotorcycles.com/suzuki-boulevard-s40-vs-suzuki-boulevard-s50. Also a good Vulcan review here as well at https://www.bestbeginnermotorcycles.com/kawasaki-vulcan-500-ltd-review.

I have read both of those articles. Based on those I would probably go with the Vulcan 500. I was wondering if the Suzuki M50 is basically the same as a S50 with possibly just the looks being different.

According to the specs, the M50 has fuel injection and the S50 does not.

It would seem that the fuel injection would probably be worth the extra few hundred then, I would think.

Also I noticed on Suzuki’s website they have removed the M50 Black model which was on there this afternoon for some reason.
