Has anyone else noticed that certain folks seem to be pounding down a few beers before heading home on Friday afternoons?
I’m starting to notice a trend of construction trade-type guys (typically in trucks with racks) who usually drive pretty mellow, but on Friday afternoons are drifting our of their lanes, over accelerating/braking, and just basically driving like they’ve had a few.
Any thoughts on whether this may be part of a weekending jobsite toast or two?
Friday evening commutes are definately a bit sportier than other days of the week.

You will see enough 40’s walk out of there to scare ya. Firday’s is when they “Pre-game”. In days of old clubbing and parties got started around 8 at night and gave us plenty of time to figure out who the DD was and about 5 hours to get hammered. Then by last call you were too wore out to complain about it. These days… the crowd around here don’t hit the clubs and parties til around 10-ish . So they “pre-game” to get a head start. Usually complain…alot… about last call…rookies!

I notice it even on Thursdays now. Luckily (must look on the sunny side of things!) my hours got cut one hour per day so now I get to leave at 230pm so I can take my moto to work still on Fridays because everyone is not drunk yet when I leave for home. Unless they started on lunch.

The only thing you have to watch out for that early in the morning is the soccer moms in their land assault vehicles, on the phone, drinking a latte, and yelling at 3 kids all bouncing around with no seat belts on. So aslong as I stay away from soccer fields and starbucks i’m OK
