Hi! Been riding for almost 2 months now, I discovered this website prior to taking the MSF class and I love it, there is a lot of good information here. I’m riding a 2003 Suzuki LS650 that I bought with 744 miles on it, it now has 1425 miles on it. I bought a 650 instead of a 250 like I was planning because there were no new or used 250’s at any dealership in the Chicagoland are and I wasn’t having luck buying a used one from private sellers so I found this 650 and I love it so I’m glad it worked out that way. Looking forward to riding through October hopefully if it’s warm enough. See you in the forums!

Weapon Zero – I did get a motorcycle jacket, full face helmet, and riding gloves, all in white because I read somewheres that white was a good color to be seen in by cars. I have been told I look like a power ranger. Not the prettiest thing to be called but I thought it was funny.
Dagger – Cool about your first bike bein’ a 650 as well, I was just thinking the other day (already!) that my next bike will be a 800, we’ll see.
Ilnam – I am commuting to work in the suburbs, it’s about 25-30 miles each way. I agree with you on those OTD prices! Oh my gosh, all the fees and s**t! I was very surprised myself. I had tried to buy a bike from 2 guys on Craig’s list so I wouldn’t have to pay these crazy fees and neither one of them had the titles so I waited several weeks until one guy got the title but then the bike wouldn’t start and the other guy took so long, like WEEKS, that I gave up and bought this Suzuki.
