this is my new (new for me) 1995 Yamaha xj600s seca2 that i decided to purchase with the help of some nice ppl on this site.i just got this bike last week and it is my first road bike, so here are a few pics…
first with the full fairings…
and with the lower fairing removed, i prefer it this way, although i plan to remove the upper as well and go for the street fighter look…
and another good shot, the light was just really great…
I’ve got some parts coming this week, a new front tire (it still has 1/2 tread but i got a great deal on a new maxxis so i couldint resist), grips, tank pad, bar ends, and mirrors…so I’ll try and post up some more pics when i get it all installed.
I have only riden a total of about 175mi on it so far but it runs and handles great, and feels really light.hope everybody enjoys the pics!!!May 15, 2008 at 11:33 pm #6324megaspazParticipantSlick! Yeh, looking forward to see more pics after you get everything put on.
I’m also noticing the road behind your house looks like it might be fun to ride…—

I agree the seca looks a lot better as a street fighter, but I wonder how it would look with JUST the lower fairing, and not the upper fairing? I think that might look pretty sweet, especially if you put a Brutale or Ducati Monster style headlight on there, or something similar

May 16, 2008 at 11:45 am #6364smadaakramParticipantit isint realy much of a road only a 1mi. dead end, but it’s private and has almost no traffic so it makes a great place for some lowspeed practice…

May 16, 2008 at 11:56 am #6366smadaakramParticipantit actually dosnt feel like a sport either, except for the way it runs in twisties u don’t have to keep the rpm up to be in the power band and it has a really upright riding position..soon to be more so when i install some 1in. up 13/8in. back handlebar risers! personally i really dig the dual pipes, just gives a balanced look i think…
