Well, I just paid for my first bike. A 2003 Virago 250. The seller is delivering it to me. I have a question. I am in Texas (I guess the process can be different in different states). The seller will take his tags, sign the title over to me and submit a form to TxDOT that he sold the bike to me. Then I’ll have a few days to get it inspected, registered and titled. Sounds good but I am not ready to drive my bike around town to accomplish this. I am looking forward to the parking lots (even though I’ll have to hit the street some getting to the lots.) What are your thoughts?

And since I’m sitting in sub-freezing temperatures waiting another month before I can ride on a daily basis, I’m thinking some very unkind and jealous thoughts. Care to trade weather patterns?

But it seems like in theory you could register and get plates/tags, then take it in for inspection. Because otherwise you’ve got to ride it without plates and tags to get it there.
