long time no write ; )

Sorry, but I was off playing around in Chile for a few months… well, that and setting up my own company.

Anyway, just wanted to share with you that I finally got my Chilean license from the government, so that’s 3 licenses I have now.

My UK one, my US one, and my new Chilean one.

I am still playing around on my Kawa 250r (new model) and loving every moment of it… although everyone here was right. Even though I have only had it 6 months… I find it lacking umph, and it’s soooo high revving that it’s giving me a headache jajaja.

Anyway, thought I would put up a pic of the licence.

Grats!…earplugs for the revs…..and more riding for the lack of umph. It’s important to get the basic skillz down but it is also a good idea to push yourself a little every now and again.

The 2010 Versys is the hot favorite for my next bike but it is no off road bike. It has tall suspension so you have ground clearance but the 17″ front wheel limits your tire choices. Not sure you can get knobblies in that size. Plus off road bikes have spoked wheels so they can flex when it takes a hard hit, a hit that would buckle an aluminum rim.

I plan on tackling US fire roads and I think the Versys is perfect for that. Chilean mountain roads I’m not so sure about. I keep looking at the F800GS but I’m not sure it’s worth the extra money for me, for the type of riding I will do. Might be more appropriate for you though.
