My 1 year anniversary is fast approaching so I get a policy renewal letter in from my insurance company. I had a small chuckle to myself wondering what fabulous discount I would get for surviving my first year accident & claim free. Realistically I was expecting something like a 4% increase. I was pretty shocked to see a 20% increase. WTF? Talk about taking the piss. So I’ve had to waste several hours of my life hunting down quotes from other companies. Good news is I think I’ve found one that has the same coverage for the same price I’m paying today (but need to double check the details when i get home).

What has been your experience come renewal time?

hmmm just renewed mine with progressive…..no increase, matter of fact they are about to drop it a touch due to them forgetting to give me my MSF discount last year.

Insurance quotes are completely all over the map, so it pays to shop around.

I got (by far) the best deal going through a motorcycle only insurance agent.

I have Erie insurance, not sure if they’re available where you are, but they’ve been the cheapest I’ve ever found, and they have an office literally on the block next to my house :D
