Do you have any advice about what to get? I was thinking about the Kawa KLX but then I read the Yamaha WR250 is a lot better (if more expensive). I think the Euro options are not worth it for me just now, maybe later. Am I on the right track? Anything to look out for?
July 4, 2010 at 6:44 pm #27323AParticipantI havn’t ridden the newer, aluminum framed WR250X, but from what I heard they are a blast.. both of my bikes are full on dirst bikes, one’s made street legal (KLX300) and the other (WR450F) is not.
KLX250 ha been around for a while, good solid workhorse of a bike, probably not as refined as the WR250X.
Depending on your budget, if the WR is too spendy, look for a used dual sported KTM from the mid-00’s.
