I am helping a friend perform a fenderectomy on my GS500f and we are replacing the stock signal lights with something a little sexier. Will post pictures of the before and after!May 23, 2008 at 8:31 pm #6625BenParticipant
Can’t wait, the GS definitely looks a lot better with a smaller fender than the beast that comes stock.

I could serve an entire turkey dinner on that thing!May 24, 2008 at 12:09 am #6635megaspazParticipant
So it might be a useful thing… like at a biker rally… so umm… keep it!
If there’s anything more important than my ego
around, I want it caught and shot now…May 24, 2008 at 9:44 pm #6661
I could land aircraft with these ugly bastids.May 24, 2008 at 9:45 pm #6662
Very sexy with smoked lenses.May 24, 2008 at 9:47 pm #6663

I freaked out a little after I ripped off most of the stock decals and put these on, but they have totally grown on me.
I can’t get the tank decals off; there’s a layer of clearcoat over them!
I am hopiing for a real custom paint job over the winter.
Wow, I guess I should have saved some money and bought some new cedars for that hedge, eh? lolMay 25, 2008 at 11:17 pm #6704RobbieJParticipant
Those new lights look cool but, I’m having a hard time dealing with the look of those mirrors. They look too much like bug eyes, to me. LOL.. They probably let you see more than others closer to the bike, I’d imagine but, damn I just can’t let it go. hahaMay 26, 2008 at 12:16 am #6707
They are hideous, I agree. I was thinking of getting mirrors off of a GSX-R but they look HUGE and they have an integrated signal light in them. I need aftermarket fairing mounted mirrors!May 27, 2008 at 6:54 am #6732smadaakramParticipant
I’ve often wondered if there is any loss of safety when changing over to smaller blinkers, they do look much better, but i wonder if they can be seen as clearly and as readily as stock lights…just a thought : )

They’re surprisingly bright. I haven’t had any issues with people not knowing I’m turning yet.May 28, 2008 at 11:13 am #6761smadaakramParticipant
well thats awesome! i would like to install some on my bike as well but was kind of apprehensive b/c i don’t want to loose visibility. how much did they cost ?
//@R!<May 28, 2008 at 2:49 pm #6766
They were super cheap, $30 a pair at the bike shop. If you’re concerned about visibility, make sure you get LED lights. They’re tiny but they pack a punch.
