    Ha! made ya look…..just kidding…….

Ok I got to ride for a good distance today without interruption and just for leisure… I got to playing around with swerves weave and thank god we left bob somewhere on the last bump. I remembered in MSF they kept referring to “pushing” the handlebar or (hand grip) to initiate the lean… now no arguments there but for my cruiser atleast…its slow to initiate… I push harder and my leg starts wanting to counter balance… I am a mechanic by the way and I am naturally inclined to do that to get leverage on rusted parts. Not to say I don’t use it though I more naturally” lean” letting my body weight initiate the event. So I was curious about a quicker way and I had noticed when experimenting with the various explanations of counter steer. I kept hearing and reading…then(when I got my bike the first week) that you push the bar in the direction you want to go and it does it. Problem …..Cruiser…level wrist and a push not quick and even clumsy, and for a total noob from go, push was never explained as in what direction…. so in a curious moment I decided to tug on the opposite side (like plow reigning a horse, or skid steering a tank or dozer) and WOAH!!!!! that bad boy will lay over quick!!!!! Kind of give you an almost fighter jet bank and turn feel. The tug is more inthe direction like you pull in the..sorry ,,,squeeze in the brake. you “tug ” it towards the direction of your waist. Very minimal movement… if never tried.. start very very small, cause she will move.
Now I know I am probly delaying the “push” tactic due to my career path. I was just wondering if any other cruisers had noticed the same effect. Also because well lets face it…. alot of riding tips are written by a Sport bike perspective.
What other differences have you guys noticed in explanation and put in practice?

Clarification: yes I do know now which way to push…. :^P …. but for evasive maneuvers …the aforementioned “pull”works quicker for me…. also gets me outta hard lean turn for a quick stop in the turn.
