I know of people on the SVRider board who have fabbed up different sub-frames so that they could put on things like a Ducati Monster tail, and I’d imagine something similar could be done with your GS500. You might be able to take the sub-frame and seats from an R6 and attach them, but that might require some welding on the main frame for attach points. Not saying it’s impossible, but it’d be some really custom work that would definitely affect the resale of the bike.

It is possible to do a high side crash at low speeds, especially if your back tire gets on some sand or oil, slides, and then suddenly has full traction. I have landed on my chest before when bicycle racing- a broken rib hurts for months, every time you breathe in. This guy probably used too much throttle:

Buy him a dirt bike and maybe he’ll loose interest in the puter ;)

is like me- he likes both computers and bicycles. I search for old mine history with a computer at work, along with forums for fun. He says that motorcycles are too noisy and too dirty- so far he does not want a dirt motorcycle.

It has 180 hp and a brand new slick-as-hell tire. Even so, you really have to yank the throttle on a bike like that to get that type of spin, and that’s something only a beginner would do. Beginner + GSX-R1000 = crash. Then again, you can tell he’s a a bit squidly, as no self-respecting sport rider would get color-coded Suzuki racing leathers and helmet to match a bike.
