The reason i am asking is because I really like the sv650s but i know it’s not the best beginner bike. I was considering the ninja 250 but can’t get my mind off the suzuki. At this point my mind is kind of set. I have read that these bikes can be unpredictable with loads of torque.

Is there a way to tone down the power for beginners like myself who might have heavy hands :P. I love the bike but don’t want to accelerate to hard and spin off from being to nervous.

    Your thoughts please.

I really do like the voted on “Best Answer”. :-P

Or just get a ninja 250 and up to a sv650s later.

Here in sweden we have a special ‘limited’-class you get to drive once you turn 18. These bikes have to be restricted to 25kW, this is done by simply putting a special washer into the carburettor. These can be bought at dealerships.
If the bike has DOCH instead of a carb. it should just be a question of software settings.

Go and ask a mechanic at a Suzuki dealership, they should be able to help you.
