heh, i’d like to tell you, but i can’t find a 250r here in the bay for less than around $4.5k, and i’d rather not pay so much over MSRP

From what I’ve read, the Kawi Ninja 250 has a max legal weight limit of around 330 pounds. So, if you and your rider combined weigh more, you’ll be riding illegaly, anyway. As soon as I re-deploy, I’m going to look at my options between the Ninja 250 and the 500. If you don’t wanna spend the extra cash on the 500, take a look in swap sheets and craigs lists. They haven’t mady any major mods to the bike in nearly 20 years so, pick up one a few years old and you’ll be satisfied.

My wife rides with me sometimes and the bike handles the two of us just fine. Acceleration is a little slower, but nothing you can’t live with.
