I just placed my order for a 08/09 Ninja 250. I’m so excited. I have heard, and read differnet things about the break in period. Having read Gary’s 4 part article on the bike, I thought that I would follow that plan (4,000 rpm and under first 50 miles, and 10,000 and under for the next hundred miles then open it up). However they guy at the bike shop where I placed my order said that you need to rev higher than 4000 rpm to change gears. Is he right or wrong? If he is right then how does one go about?
Thanks and Cheers,
