So I was looking at the shift racing jeans and as great as they seem i didnt feel comfortable with breaking my kneecaps in a fall yet i cant excactly walk into highschool with full leathers so i was looking around and i found these bohn armor pants. They are armored long johns that go under you pants. has anyone heard anything bout them?

I guess I would not mind them on say a dedicated ride where you are just going out for a ride and coming back. I could NOT see myself wearing them to anything like where I was driving there and was planning on doing something and wearing them around like that..but just for a dedicated to and from ride I think they would be cool.. Now I guess if you had the time to get them on get jeans over them get to school and then get to somewhere to change OUT of them and get them stored then get back into them at the end of the day they could be ok..
to actually DO anything else not so much id not want to sit around in them, walk around, play a game, do sports or anything else in them lol .
As a alternative why not just some armored over pants that have armor and are waterproof and fit on OVER jeans and or shorts. They will normally have pads and CE armor in the knees. then take them off when you get there and store them till you leave.

Note that although they have padding, they are not abrasion resistant all over, so you may still need motorcycle (kevlar) jeans. It would be nice if someone made motorcycle jeans with pads. Hell, for me it would be nice if someone made abrasion resistant khaki slacks.
But I thought that the Bohn pants were worth a try for those short trips where I actually needed to stop and interact with people. I’ll be happy to report back if I ever get them. It may take as long as two weeks, which is really not the best service.
Edit: I don’t believe that Bohn claim that the pants meed CE standards.
