In fact, it doesn’t seem notice much difference in power response. The big difference is handling, but when the weight isn’t in a passenger, it’s not as much an issue.
Honestly, ergonomics will likely be the main issue, so check into some of the 650 twins.
August 22, 2009 at 2:02 pm #21883zzyzzyzzxParticipantwell the main thing i want to do is loose around 100 pounds before i start i think 1. its healthier for me and 2. healthier for the bike, and about the whole leg thing i have kinda short legs all my height is in my torso

“The maximum recommended load in addition to vehicle weight is 155 kg (342 lb), including rider, passenger, baggage, and accessories.”page 19:
“Maximum Load
Weight of rider, passenger, baggage, and accessories must not exceed 155 kg (342 lb).”August 23, 2009 at 10:08 am #21892eternal05ParticipantFourth-gen Ninjas have max load of 375-380 lbs.
August 25, 2009 at 1:04 pm #21908WeaponZeroParticipantI am 5’11” and when I first started riding on my SV650, I weighed about 335 lbs. I’ve lost a lot of weight since then but the bike was not bothered one bit by my weight. When it comes to power, your weight isn’t an issue. It’s where the suspension is concerned that your weight may be too much for the biker.
