Whats up everyone. I’m a relatively small guy, 5’9 140 lbs. Which bikes, aside from a sport bike (don’t like them), would be a good bike to start out with? Ive searched on the internet and haven’t found much that would suite my size well. Some of the ones i glanced at are Suzuki DR200SE, Yamaha Virago 250 and the Honda Rebel 450. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Good luck finding Rebel 450s as they were only made for a few years back in the 80s. DR200SE is not bad. Virago 250 is still being produced but it is now called the V-Star 250. Other good bikes to consider:
Suzuki TU250X
Yamaha WR250X
Kawasaki KLX250SF
Honda CRF230M
Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD
Kawasaki Super Sherpa (a 250cc dual sport)
Honda Nighthawk 250 (no longer in production as of this year but should be tons on the used market)
Older pre-fairing Suzuki GS500s, like 2004 and older.May 26, 2010 at 8:57 pm #26740JackTradeParticipantWeaponZero pretty much nailed it, but I’ll add the contrarian choice of the Buell P3 Blast.
Somewhat unusual bike, “standard” in style, and is widely available used. Seats available in either 29 or 25 inch heights. I have one and really like it. Definitely generates a lot of conversation.
Buells across the line are (were…sigh) unique machines though, and this one is no different…love it or hate it styling, and a different type of power delivery (very torquely off the line, runs out of power up top).
