    Hi group!
I just finished reading Gary Jaehne’s review of the 08′ Kawasaki 250R, and amazingly enough a dealership in my area is cashing a deposit check for this very bike! I am so stoked I found the review and this website. I have been riding for many years, my last bike was a BMW 1150R, and was reminded of the rides in the Northern CA hills and breakfast at Alices Restaurant which was mentioned in Gary’s article. There seems to be a phenomenal amount of interest in riding and so many stories of people taking classes at the local community college. All I can say to a new rider is start small!!! You will crawl on a bike that you cannot handle which will be the last thing you want to do. I saw a woman last week on a bike that was way to big who wobbled her way through a turn into a parking lot. No way to gain confidence or valuable experience. I have had larger bikes than the 250R I will be riding, but I know from experience it’s not the size of the bike that matters it’s can you handle the size bike you are on…

Hiya! welcome back to the saddle! Yeh, a lot of people getting into motorcycling now, especially with the ridiculous gas prices.
