Not sure how to phrase this question. Basically, I have a hard time “feeling” the back break pressure thru the riding boots. On the front break is easy to control, feel for a slow, control breaking motion.
On the back break, I’m never sure how much pressure I’m actually applying, with the boots and all. Granted, I do do most of my breaking with the front, unless I’m going slooooow and gently kiss the back break and front brake.
In any case, not sure if that’s the normal on the back brake, or not, and doubt different shoes will make a difference, being I do want sturdy safe riding shoes.
Right now using sidi boots, riding an aprilia mana.
Thanks!

I usually break with both, and can’t tell whether I’m overbreaking the back or not… No biggie, just wondering I guess. On the front it’s pretty clear the amount of pressure and etc, the back isn’t.

Your front does the majority of the braking and I am glad to see someone utilizing the backs also….but simply experience will give you the answer you need… go into a parking lot and do a bunch of braking exercises and get a feel for different pressures applied.
